Have you had enough of your tattoos?

Featured

Tattoo removal is hard to get the hang of but once you have mastered the art, it can help you with many other things, such as the way you get rid of bags, spots and birthmarks. You need to get hold of Ben Nye or Cryolan‘s cover up pots, both of which you can get from Charles Fox in Covent Garden.

You need a sponge and your chosen cover up pot. Stipple the cover up on heavier on the inside working outwards and getting lighter. My cover up is the exact match of the skin so it blends in perfectly, but if the tattoo is large you will need to use a bit of creative licence and mix 2 or 3 shades to get a skin effect.  Some people believe you need a peach colour on the tattoo first, but I personally don’t need it. After you are happy with your artwork set it with loose setting powder, there are two that I love MAC or simple malefactor from boots. As I say practise makes perfect.

Pure Elagance

These were taken by the very talented photographer David, www.backardstevens.com.  absolutely amazing, he is also a great set designer as you can tell from the photos.  This shoot has a very french feel, mainly because of the pure elegance that comes directly from the model but also through the beautiful clothing.

I wanted both the hair and the make-up to stay quite understated and not overpower the beauty that has been created with the clothes, lighting and set. So I took my inspiration from the Chanel No 5 advert with Audrey Tautou.  A slightly tusseled blowdry, with what I like to call “raw countryside volume”. I achieved this with GHD’s style total volume mouse and their Style Root lift Spray accompanied with their brand new AMAZING hair dryer. I created different shapes incorporating the full fringe, swept to the side or all of the face, depending on the garments.

I wanted a very subtle, nude, flawless make-up to accompany the hair. Every feature has a few shades of brown framing it, for instance the eyes have rustic brown shades all the way around, with no liner only powder in order to create this subtle look. The cheekbones also have been shaded to enhance them, but again are blended to show no solid lines. The lips have a gorgeous colour on them called Rose Tea by Estee Lauder.

The Olympics, Monique Davis in 125 Magazine

I worked with Monique who is competing in the Paralympics, I wish her all the very best!

Monique has amazing bone structure accompanied with fabulously healthy skin, you can see she spends a lot of time outside. So I kept her skin looking natural and flawless with a hint of dewy glow. I thickened and elongated her eyebrows which framed her eyes, which I lined her top inside and bottom with avons dark liner, which is very soft to apply. I also contoured her cheekbones and added a natural glow on top.

Final pics of the Twins

First look for the twins was an angelic/cherubim hair and make-up. From loose wavy curls to beautifully flawless skin with a hint of gentle smokey eyes which flow into a pearly glow on the inner lids, finished with Este Lauder’s’ Rose Tea lip.

Second look was far more dramatic, yet still maintaining a subtle clean look. Two different shades or orange/peach lip by Mac, complimented with an unusualy beautiful eye, natural, shimmer lid, accompanied with black linered bottom blended into a deep purple, followed with black mascara.  I finished with a slightly dewy glow along the nose, from the septum to the cupids bow, and along the cheekbown with tescos Barbra Daily shimmer glow.

I tongued the bottom of the girl’s hair and added an excetuated side parting on opposite sides, one side fell over one eye which created a romantic, sexy look.

My Mums Make-Over Treat

I treated mum to a make-over on Christmas Eve, so that she would dazzle everyone with her flawless beauty.  I think you will agree after the makeover she looks stunning!

With mum I used dermalogicas skin care range first and then used clinique‘s foundation to even out mums skin as it is quite pigmented.  I applied individual fake lashes to the outer eye lashes, so very natural, not too much or over the top…just perfect! As its christmas I used a bright cherry red lip liner and lipstick from Revlon. (Revlon lip colour stays on like cement fantastic!)

Keith Clouston shooting Storm Model

Michalina from Storm Models, walked in with no make-up on and I could see straight away her face could handle many different looks.  We started with a natural/no-make-up complimented with wavy, slightly disheveled hair. I used Bobbi brown make up products but I also used one of my favoret products…EVER. Something very simple and understated…..Pawpaw Ointment all the way from Australia, if you get a chance buy it! it is similar to Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream but better, great for dry skin, burns, anything. The second image below was all down to the photographer, he chose to create a more dramatic dreamy feel, i only did some small changes to Michalina, slightly pinkie lips and a pink blush like rose pettles.

The third look is such a beautifully romantic image inspired by a very well know painting, ‘The Birth of Venus‘. I wanted a heavenly picture that whispers femininity and echoes purity. The hair is wispy, fluffy and bouncy inspired by Renaissance women, the make-up is very pure with only dark eye line on the inside upper lid and bottom. I used pearly eye shadows blending into shades of light browns on the outer lids.

This could well be my favoret hair and make-up i have ever done.  1940′s inspired hair juxtaposed with an upside down 50′s eye, meaning eyeliner on the bottom eye line rather than the top, with shades of gold on the eyelid. Dark Maroon lips which go beautifully against her pale skin, with shimmer on her cheekbones.

Abit of Fun – Diamonds in the Brow.
